Melbourne Museum

Melbourne Museum’s : Pauline Gandel Children’s Gallery is a permanent exhibition expected to last 15+ years. It is visited by thousands of visitors each day. Aimed at babies to 5 year old children and their families, it must be highly durable and easily maintainable as well as designed to be attractive and interesting to young children.

Corian® was the only product identified by the design team that could meet the functional and aesthetic brief. The ability of Corian® to be shaped across complex curved joinery forms, in combination with its extensive colour palette, allowed ambitious design concepts to be realised as high quality joinery and exhibition experiences. Corian® is a material of exceptional quality which has contributed to the creation of a world class Children’s Gallery that is receiving accolades from its visitors and museum peers.
