The Corian® Design Awards, a nationally recognised platform, serves as a dynamic showcase for local designers, highlighting their innovative utilisation of Corian® within their respective fields of expertise. Established by CASF Australia in 2006, these awards commemorate excellence in both residential and commercial design throughout the nation.
As a testament to the prestigious nature of the accolades, this year’s Grand Prize winners will be rewarded with an extraordinary prize—a trip to Paris Design Week, an exclusive opportunity to immerse themselves in the global design scene. The Corian® Design Awards stand not only as a celebration of outstanding design achievements but also as a gateway to international recognition and inspiration.
How It Works
The Corian® Design Awards for 2024 are now open for submissions. Eligible participants include Specifiers, Architects/Designers, and Students. Additionally, Partners, such as shop fitters and Corian® Fabricators, have the option to submit entries on behalf of the Designer.
The competition features two distinct categories: Residential and Commercial. A minimum of four projects from each category will be shortlisted to enter the final pool of candidates. An independent judging panel, assembled by CASF, will determine the overall winners in each category. The announcement of the winners is scheduled for November 2024.
The coveted Major Prize for the overall winners is an exclusive trip to Paris Design Week with CASF. This prize encompasses return economy airfares from any Australian capital city and twin-share accommodation with daily breakfast.
Submitting an entry is a straightforward process. Interested participants are required to complete an entry form, providing details about their work, and upload relevant high-resolution images of their project design. All images must be in high-resolution 300dpi format.
Entrants should be aware that, by submitting an entry, they confirm having obtained permission from all relevant parties, including clients, copyright holders, and collaborators, to allow CASF Australia and its partners to publish their work on their website and in any associated promotional materials without limitation. Participate in the Corian® Design Awards and showcase your innovative designs for a chance to gain recognition and the exciting opportunity to experience Paris Design Week.
Please read our full Terms and Conditions* about the promotion for more information.
The Corian® Design Awards are open to Australian residents only and the major prize must be taken from an Australian capital city.
Since its launch in 1967, Corian® has embodied an innovating spirit of ongoing progress and evolution. A solid surface material like no other, Corian® has become emblematic of the capability of design and technology to truly transform projects, bringing ideas to life and forging ahead on pathways previously thought impossible.
Over the years, it has become a staple of Australian commercial and residential design that is regularly used in kitchens, bathrooms, sinks and basins, reception counters, wall cladding and outdoor environments. Unmatched in versatility, ease of installation and maintenance, Corian® has seen successful application in everything from apartments, office, health and aged care facilities to hospitality and retail environments.
In 2006, in line with this fearless, pioneering spirit, CASF launched the Corian® Design Awards, which have been held annually ever since. Celebrating the ingenuity and astounding, vibrant creativity with which the Australian design industry is currently abounding, the Awards recognise local designers who have made remarkable and innovative use of Corian® in their design practice.
In previous years, the Awards have rewarded cutting edge design and forward thinking in projects across all commercial and residential subsectors. From hospitals and offices to airports and high-end apartments, past judging panels have looked beyond project types to identify bold, divergent thinking, dexterous material use, and impeccable craftsmanship.
