Each profile below can be fabricated in Corian® Solid Surface. Renders are indicative – final dimensions, radii and build-up are confirmed with your fabricator.

A crisp square edge with a stepped return underneath for a tailored, detailed look.

Sharp and minimal. A popular choice for contemporary kitchens and vanities.

Edges in real projects
Recent work by our design and fabrication partners, with the edge detail noted for each.
Full Bullnose
Three 12 mm sheets were layered around the island perimeter to form a seamless 50 mm bullnose edge.
Square
A 19 mm square edge benchtop keeps this open-plan kitchen clean and understated.
Square (monolithic)
The main bathroom vanity top uses a monolithic square edge profile with integrated basins.
Square with raised lip
A crisp square edge with a 20 mm raised lip frames this four-metre Designer White island, which reads as one seamless, monolithic piece.
Mitred edge
A mitred front edge gives the vanity the look of a solid carved block, paired with fluted drawer fronts.
Shark Nose
The elliptical dining tabletop features an angular shark-nose edge; the kitchen benchtop has a 50 mm edge.
Curved waterfall edge
A thin benchtop with timber edging finishes in a gracefully curved waterfall edge.
Waterfall end, soft edges
Consulting desks with waterfall ends, soft edges and seamless curved transitions.
Waterfall ends
A waterfall end carries the benchtop down to the floor. Because Corian® Solid Surface can be joined seamlessly and thermoformed, the end can be a crisp return, a smooth curve or a textured, fluted form.

A 90° return where the top turns down to the floor for a solid, block-like look.
Sport Yacht Platinum Ed · Riviera

The Avenue · Concepts by Gavin Hepper

A curved end finished with hand-cut flutes for texture and depth.

FAQ
Yes. The profiles on this page are the ones we see specified most often, but fabricators can route and build up many other shapes. What’s achievable depends on sheet thickness, radius and the fabricator’s tooling, so share your detail with us early and we’ll help you check it before it goes to tender.
Often, yes. Many profiles are made by building up the front edge with extra strips of Corian® Solid Surface, joined seamlessly, so the edge can read thicker than the sheet itself. At Witta, three 12 mm layers form a 50 mm bullnose. A No Buildup profile is shaped from the sheet alone for a slimmer look. Confirm final edge thickness with your fabricator.
Softened profiles such as Pencil Round, Double Pencil Round, Half Bullnose and Full Bullnose are kinder to hands, hips and trolleys and easy to wipe down. Rounded profiles are commonly specified in healthcare – see our Westmead Private Maternity Ward project. Sharp arrises look crisp but are more exposed to knocks in busy areas.
Pieces, edge build-ups and waterfall ends are bonded with colour-matched adhesive, then sanded and finished so the joins are seamless. A fabricator can also repair most everyday marks on site, because Corian® Solid Surface is solid all the way through.
Name the profile from this page, the finished edge thickness, any radius, which edges are exposed, and the waterfall end type if there is one. Send drawings to projects@casf.com.au and our Design Certainty Service will review buildability with you.
