Wantirna Residential Aged Care
The Wantirna Aged Care Facility is a 120-bed development designed to improve resident privacy, dignity and independence whilst delivering best-practice care in a home-like environment.
The facility supports a range of resident care needs and contemporary models of care to provide a dementia-friendly environment. The design aims to optimise physical and mental wellbeing through access to natural light, fresh air and views of the Dandenong Ranges.
Corian® integrated vanity tops and basins have been installed into each of the ensuite bathrooms. The basins are in Silver Grey while the benchtop and shroud are in Glacier White. This purposeful colour choice has been made to help support visually impaired residents. A handy grab rail has also been incorporated into the design as well as anti-ligature features.
In the communal areas, Corian® has been used for the benchtops in the kitchens. Corian® is a superior choice in busy environments. Not only is Corian® stain resistant, it is also non-porous and hygienic.
