Magnet House
Magnet House Perth’s newest Mecca of dance and diversity has officially opened its brand new doors of decadence. Previously known as Capitol Nightclub, BHO Interiors was commissioned to give this iconic Perth venue a state of the art multi-million dollar facelift. Stripped back to its bones the new venue glitters from the moment you enter. The main room is illuminated under a canopied kinetic light feature. Take your pick from two lengthy new bars on the ground floor and one on the first floor at the “Retro Room”. For those needing respite from the relentless dance floor energy, the luxuriously large VIP areas will have you covered.
“Our challenge is to design a state of the art nightclub. We always search for the best materials for our projects. Corian® was our choice due to its unique design, aesthetic, flexibility and practicality finishes. Its stylish finish with the translucent ability fits our design concept perfectly. We are confident that Corian® products are able to offer both reliability and peace of mind for our clients.” Said Bryan Ho.
One of the challenges while designing a nightclub was the lighting effects. Not only does it set the atmosphere in the club but also elevates the senses of the guests. The lighting fixtures were customised to fit the concept as the linear lighting animates from the ceiling, wall to floor and flows into the counter. To achieve this, BHO required a durable finish while being translucent for the lighting effect, hence the Corian® translucent series is the perfect products that work well with the lighting effects that bring one of a kind art which elevates the atmosphere while complements the interior space.
Working with translucent series is challenging as the applications and installation are different. Corian® translucent products were carefully fabricated and installed to avoid shadow or dark spots which result in seamless finish and continuous light from all directions.
