As part of the prize for winning a Corian® Design Award, winners get the opportunity to join CASF’s annual international conference. This year’s destination was Toronto, Canada, where we also crossed the border to visit the DuPont Yerkes Plant in Buffalo, NY.
On Wednesday, 9th September 2026, CASF hosted a half day conference which was also the setting for celebrating the winners of the 2025 Corian® Design Awards — recognising the very best of Australian design and fabrication in Corian® Solid Surface. Each winner was presented with a custom Corian® trophy, crafted from the same Corian® colour used in their winning project.
Commercial Winner: Our Wondrous Planet at Melbourne Museum
Melbourne Museum’s largest-ever gallery, Our Wondrous Planet, took out the Commercial category. Designed by Museums Victoria Design Studio, the 1,800-square-metre exhibition uses Corian® across two of its immersive biomes — organically curved Corian® Dove interpretation rails through the Soil zone, and backlit Corian® River Pearl shards and cubes bringing the Ice biome to life.

Gavin Christie of ACRT Fabricators Australia, one of the two fabricators who worked on the winning project, was there in person to be part of the celebration. The project’s other fabricator, Show Works, was presented with their trophy separately back in Victoria.
Residential Winner: Seidler Group City Apartment
The Seidler Group City Apartment took out the Residential category — a striking bathroom vanity in Corian® Cameo White, formed as a single continuous piece complete with a fluted drawer front and mitred edge.
Siblings Sarah Seidler and Luke Seidler of Seidler Group, who both worked on the winning project, joined us at the conference to talk through the design and inspiration behind their winning work. As Sarah explained, “Corian® was selected for its malleability and flexibility with what you can do with the product and allowed us to create this sort of monolithic and very interesting piece and element that created such a feature in the bathroom.” Luke walked through the thought process behind the design, covering not just the aesthetic direction but the practical considerations that shaped it.
