A beautiful family with plenty of personality wanted a home that not only reflected who they are but also made daily life easier. With their busy lifestyle, a complete overhaul of their home was undertaken to ensure every space worked hard for them, while still delivering comfort and elegance. The bathrooms, in particular, presented a challenge due to their limited size, and careful planning and design were required to transform these compact rooms into luxurious spaces that felt generous rather than restrictive.

Corian® was the natural choice for this project as it satisfied both the functional and design requirements. Its seamless, non-porous surface provided essential resistance to moisture and stains, while the ability to mould and shape the material allowed smooth, continuous surfaces that perfectly aligned with the modern aesthetic. The wide colour palette helped coordinate with the overall scheme, and its durability and low-maintenance qualities made it a practical, long-term solution for a busy family.

One of the standout achievements was the way Corian® was customised to meet the family’s needs without compromising style. In the bathrooms, integrated storage and thermoformed niches maximised functionality while maintaining a sense of openness. The bath area became a highlight, with a Corian® top and splashback enhancing the overall look while offering durability and easy maintenance for the children’s splash-filled bath times. Another detail was the two-tone vanities, where Corian® basins were seamlessly integrated with the benchtops, achieving the “normal basin” appearance the client wanted while maintaining a cohesive, modern design.

The project reinforced the adaptability and creative potential of Corian® Solid Surface. From the detailed look of Corian® Clam Shell in the main bathroom to the crisp, bright Corian® Glacier White in the basins and powder room, each finish offered a balance of durability and style. The ability to thermoform Corian® for custom solutions, like storage cut-outs and seamless niches, proved invaluable in smaller spaces. The end result is a home that balances sophistication with playfulness, combining the practicality a family needs with the modern aesthetic they envisioned.
