Comprising of industry experts and visionaries, our panel brings together a unique blend of expertise, all united by their shared passion for groundbreaking design.

Kirsty Duncan
FOUNDER

As founder of award-winning Brisbane based firm, Bearcanvas Interiors, Kirsty has spent almost three decades immersed in design projects on various design platforms.
She believes that behavioural design follows functional design. Behaviour in the way we live creates the briefs for the design and renovations of homeowners who dream of having a beautiful space to work, live and of course play.
By taking a family’s personality, likes and dislikes, and the way they move about their day into consideration, Bearcanvas Interiors develops concepts to ensure the home is not only aesthetically pleasing but above all else, comfortable and functional.

Aaron Grant
PROJECT ARCHITECT

Aaron has a Masters of Architecture (M.Arch) and a Bachelor of Environmental Design (B.Env.Des) graduating from the University of Western Australia in 2015. He is a Project Architect at the award winning firm, Montague Grant Architects in Perth, Western Australia.
Aaron has a broad variety of experience in the Architectural field, covering apartments, retail and warehousing in the commercial sector with a strong focus on Health Care and Aged Care projects. Aaron has worked across all project stages from client consultation and early project inception through all design phases to contract administration and project delivery.
Aaron has an appreciation for aesthetically pleasing form, which ultimately serves an underlying and functional purpose for its occupants. His approach to design stems from pragmatic decision making, whereby creativity marries together with consideration for the brief and context at hand.
Montague Grant Architects have specified Corian for nearly 20 years to be used in a vast range of settings, from building entry points, to reception and offices, to food preparation areas and common passages. It is truly a multi-purpose material.

Tania Kloester

TK DESIGN

With a background in retail, furniture design and visual arts, Tania began her career in the building industry some 20+ years ago. She founded TK Design in 2012, specialising in kitchen and bathroom design. Located in Stepney SA, TK Design now offers a comprehensive interior design service for both residential and commercial projects.
Tania is an award-winning Certified Kitchen Designer (CKD) and the head of the Kitchen & Bathroom Designers Institute (KBDi) in South Australia. As an active member of various facets withing the building industry, her passion for design is undeniable. Fascinated by new products and unique design ideas, Tania is a chameleon who adapts her style to suit her clients’ needs.
Collaborating with industry leaders, Tania has honed her skills to excel in challenging spaces, making her one of Australia’s influential designers.

Mark Saunders
PRINCIPAL

With more than 28 years of experience in design within the health sector, Mark’s portfolio features Australian and international facilities of every variety, from small community hospitals to entire health precincts.
His invaluable knowledge and understanding of clinical operations, specialist room layouts, and the major medical equipment needs of facilities are an asset to their clients and design teams. Mark is also adept at navigating the complexities of stakeholder engagement, including the clinical user group consultation process.
Before joining Architectus, Mark was a Director at international practices HDR and Silver Thomas Hanley, where he delivered major projects via various procurements models for public and private sector health providers across Australia as well as in New Zealand, Canada, Malaysia, and India.
Recent projects include the Frankston Hospital Redevelopment, VHBA Community Hospitals Program, Epworth Hospital Richmond, Freemasons and Geelong, Bendigo Hospital and the New Dunedin Hospital in New Zealand. Mark has also been working closely with AHIA to develop and update the Australasian Health Facility Guidelines (AusHFG) Standard Components over the past number of years.
An architect with a strong interest in the future of design technology, Mark frequently presents at industry conferences and events in Australia and the United States.

Kacey Weber
SENIOR INTERIOR DESIGNER

As a Senior Interior Designer at Fulton Trotter Architects Sydney, Kacey is a driven designer who enjoys collaborating and working closely with clients. Fulton Trotter Architects is a multi-award-winning innovative architectural practice with offices in both Sydney and Brisbane.
Kacey was involved with the Redlands Satellite Hospital project which was awarded a Queensland State Commendation in the “public architecture” category from the Australian Institute of Architects’ Queensland Chapter 2024.
Kacey Weber is an enthusiastic and understanding interior designer. Over the past 12 years, she has worked across multiple sectors including healthcare, aged care, education, residential, retail, hospitality and commercial projects in both Queensland and New South Wales.
Kacey’s designs are considerate of the end-user, helping to heal and nurture, while her interest in psychology adds a unique sense of wellbeing to the spaces she creates.
This will be Kacey’s first jury panel appointment for the Corian Design Awards and she looks forward to supporting emerging and innovative designers.
