One o One
H&CO. collaborated closely with the Client over 4 years to create this one of a kind masterpiece that now resides in Sydney Harbour. The work on the 125ft Italian Tecnomar Superyacht is one of Australia’s largest ever private yacht rebuilds.
H&CO. were inspired by the sporting lines of this yacht as it sits deceptively low in the water for a boat of its size, and developed a project narrative that gleans cues from British and Italian supercar design. The extensive redesign meant that the craft was stripped back to its hull, and rebuilt anew piece by piece.
Internally, the extensive works included a refurbished engine room, reconfigured saloon, helm, cabins, bathrooms, corridors, crew quarters and galley. The entire internals of the craft were stripped back to bare structure. Custom joinery, lighting, furniture design, and luxurious finishes some unique to this project, were then implemented throughout the bare shell to create an entirely new super yacht.
“Corian® was an obvious choice for us, as we needed something light, robust, beautiful, all with the ability to be effortlessly formed as well. Corian® was the only product that in its seamless way, could achieve all the design goals. From the pragmatic, to the aesthetic. There is repetition in the radius of the forms over the project, having the comfort in knowing that the radius would be replicated perfectly was critical given our design intent, and the level of detail needed for this project.” says Angus.
