Seamless Corian® bathrooms featured in Loftus Street Apartments, Circular Quay
When people think of Sydney, they think of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Loftus Street apartments are sitting right among these famous landmarks that truly makes Sydney unique. Designed by Silvester Fuller Architects, the elegant white masonry exterior has a series of balconies and terraced rooftops that step inwards as the building rises, creating a sequence of levels that recede gently against the sky.
Every finish at 18 Loftus Street has been deliberately selected to achieve optimum health and tranquillity for residents. The bathrooms have a wet zone separated by a glass screen, that feature Corian® walls, floors and a Corian® bath, where all joins between these surfaces are fused together seamlessly creating an elegant and beautiful space, while making it very easy to maintain. The dry zone has the pure, elegant forms of Corian® basins and benchtop integrate effortlessly into these surroundings, creating an intimate space that play host to life’s daily rituals.
There is some beautiful bespoke detailing in each of the spaces which creates that layer of beauty within each apartment, but they are also very functional. Take the light kitchen scheme as an example. The framed back bench in Silver Grey Corian® is of seamless construction that has been easily configured to suit the interior styling. The island Corian® benchtop has been formed to create a superior and reliable combination of design and hygiene, allowing the owners to enjoy an easy care and healthy lifestyle, due to the non-porous and seamless nature of these surfaces.
The living areas transition from a light, living zone to a quieter, darker, cocoon-like sleeping environment. Living and bedroom spaces have an outward aspect, with privacy controlled by the openings in the facade.
