Coastal Home
Mal wanted a design to complement the breathtaking coastal views, so he chose to design with strong horizontal lines. A mixture of glass for the cupboard door fronts, Hettich aluminium doors and custom-made handles formed the base of the kitchen design. A quality benchtop solution was required for the kitchen and scullery area that provided a seamless workspace and the capabilities to work well with Mal’s unique design ideas.
DuPont™ Corian® in Cameo White was selected as the ideal material as it allowed Mal to create a stunning effect by placing LED lighting around the edge of the benchtop. The lighting feature allows the clients to change the atmosphere of the room by changing the colour of the lights. The same lighting is also installed in the stair treads to create an integrated space between the two areas.
Due to its non-porous nature, Corian® was used in the scullery benchtop to create a space that is minimalist and easy to clean. The stainless steel sink is undermounted for easy one-wipe cleaning and maintenance.
DuPont™ Corian® was applied in the powder room to create an art-like, sculptural vanity that replicates a natural waterfall. Water softly falls from the tap to the Corian® spout and then continues to the larger square basin at the bottom. This piece creates serene water sounds to the space and adds the luxurious warm touch of Corian® solid surfaces.
