Broken Hill Credit Union

Broken Hill Community Credit Union underwent a complete refurbishment. After 25 years of conventional banking practices they decided to condense their members areas, customer service areas and staff back of house offices into half of the existing space. This included introducing new era of teller machines and adopting non traditional customer servicing by the old ‘secure counter’.  Part of that change incorporated a new corporate identity and complete new interior renovation.

Finishes and colour scheme was based on the Broken Hill landscape, the burnt hues of the sun and desert, along with strong mining history that accents the town and is a core representation of the people. The bank is owned by the people  so it was important that the bank represented the community and we created a space that was warm and welcoming for their members.

Corian® Basil was selected for the reception counter, self service desk and teller areas, while Corian® Clam Shell was selected for the staff amenities.
